Accutane.

Accutane (isotretinoin) is a retinoid prescribed for the treatment of severe nodular acne in patients that already attempted other methods. Before you start taking this medicine, you will need to talk to your health care provider about any contraindications you have such as pregnancy or a history of an allergic reaction to isotretinoin. Make sure you tell your doctor if you are taking minocycline, vitamin A supplements, dexamethasone, demeclocycline, methylprednisolone, prednisone, doxycycline, phenytoin, medications for seizures, or tetracycline, or if you have anorexia nervosa, depression, mental illness, history of suicide attempt, heart or liver disease, high triglyceride levels, diabetes, asthma, or osteoporosis. Accutane side effects are possible and can include the following symptoms: voice changes, dry mouth, dry skin, slowed healing of cuts, hair loss, tiredness, changes in the nails, sore lips, sweating, cold symptoms, flushing, changes in skin color, nosebleeds, and some other ones. You may need to report those symptoms only if they change in intensity and get more severe with time – which is not likely.
